The Nidoking then roared out in anger, seeing as though he did not defeat his enemy quite yet.

Emerald grunted and fell over, but remained concious. That last hit must've gotten her harder than she thought. She struggled to push herself up; she was not going to lose here! There had to be something she could do.

The Nidoking roared before going into a full head on charge. Luke then stepped in and picked Emerald up and threw her into a nearby tree, leaving a battle for Luke. Luke then fired off shots of his Aura Sphere's. Most hit, pinning The Nidoking to The tree. Then Luke charged in and used his Force Palm, sending The Pokémon flying in The oppisite direction. But before The Nidoking was out of site, Luke sent a Shadow Ball after it, making it send The Pokémon twice as far.

Emerald snarled in anger and tried to climb back down. However, she soon found that she could not. Electricity coursed through her body and froze her stiff; a Thunder Wave attack. Glaring, she managed to catch a glimpse of a long tail with a lightning bolt at The end.
"Chikushou," she managed to mutter. "Why do you always have to get in my way?"
"If we didn't, you'd be dead by now," someone growled back at her.

Luke then held a big Aura Sphere in his hands, not knowing where The voice was coming from.

"Chris, you always butt in when you're not wanted," Emerald complained. The Raichu made his way down towards her, a Meowth and Sapphire following.
"It wasn't my idea to come here; Topaz sent us."
"Meddling Pikachu," she growled.
"P...Please, Emerald," The Meowth mumbled, "let me take a look at your wounds."
"Back off! Just keep away from me! I don't want any of you around!"
"B...But they look serious..."
"Diamond, I said go away, and I mean it! I'm in a very bad mood!"

"No one said anything like that," Chris sighed.
"Yeah, just relax a little!" Sapphire said with her toothy grin. "Just because Di's looking at your wounds doesn't mean anyone's treating you like a baby, Em!"
"You know I hate being called Em," Emerald growled.
"Yeah, I ignored you again!"
"Baka."

Presently, The soft rustle of The bushes echoed through The night. Chris could hear something coming and stepped into a battle stance. He lightened up, however, when he say that it was a small Poochyena with scars all across her body and a pitiful look on her face.
"Oh, it's just you, Opal. How are things?" Chris asked.
The Poochyena, now known as Opal, remained silent, but her eyes showed that she had been listening.
"Oh, right. I keep forgetting that you don't speak."
Opal didn't say anything, but looked past him at Emerald. Emerald, for The first time that day, actually smiled a sencere smile.
"Don't worry, Opal. It's just a few scratches. I'm fine," she said quietly. Opal shook her head, moved closer to Emerald, and gently licked a wound. Emerald didn't even make an attempt to push her away.

"So The Nidoking left?" Sapphire asked, "Aw, I wanted to hit something! I'm gonna go see what Ruby's doing! Bye-bye!" And with that, she ran off.
"Good thing she left, I couldn't handle another moment with her around," Emerald sighed.
"Looks like we weren't really needed; let's go, Diamond," Chris said.
"Okay..." Diamond mumbled as she left, her tail swishing behind her. Only Opal remained, still licking The wound.

Luke sighed and desided to go watch this group of Pokémon. Some how, they peaked his intrest and he wanted to know alittle more about them. So he too left and went to watch The group.

"Thanks, Opal. That feels a lot better," Emerald said.
Opal didn't say anything and continued to lick. She let out a small whimper as she nosed The wound gently.
"Oh, I got into a tough tangle with a Nidoking. I'm fine; it's just a few scratches. Opal continued to whine as she still nosed The wound.
"I know you worry about me, but I'm alright. Maybe a little walk will make me feel better."
Opal nodded as Emerald stood up, supporting her all The way.
